When I added this one to The List, I had envisioned (having just moved into our first home) that I would likely be building furniture or garden stuff. Little did I realise I'd get this awesome birthday present from one of my lovely colleagues. My two closest friends at work are currently obsessed with miniatures and are both doing up dolls houses; I think this was a little push to get in on the act. I liked doing it, and love the finished product, but did find it less like crafting and more like a big jigsaw puzzle - I was a bit frustrated that I couldn't be as creative as I wanted to be, nor could I pimp it much to change it's look. Looks great in the bookcase though, and has definitely given me a taste for miniatures! I'm thinking dioramas though, rather than a house.
