Fabulous birthday present from my daughter; a ticket to Hadestown at Lyric Theatre. Genuinely think this might have been one of the best musicals I've ever seen, a brilliant retelling of the Orpheus and Eurydice myth. Fantastic music and performances, great set and costumes, and I even got a little misty eyed at the last encore song, which had that intimacy that made you feel like it was was performed to you and you alone. Thoroughly and unexpectedly loved everything about it.
